I (heart) caffé

My caffé of preference is normale. In USA (pronounced ooh-sah) you’d call it an espresso. In the morning I’ll usually order a macchiato, which is just an espresso with a dollop of foam on top. A macchiato is the same price as an espresso. In il centro it will cost you around a euro. Outside of the city center, you’ll find it for 60-70 cents. Cappuccini cost more. Today I ordered my first cappuccino in a bar. It was a cold day and I thought a larger quantity of hot liquid would possibly help to warm me up. The barista gave it to me with a heart on the top (see photo). Very cute. My friends arrived later, and they ordered cappuccini. No hearts on theirs. I need to look into the custom and practice of a heart-topped cappuccino.

My favorite caffé locale:
> Pasticceria Patrizio Cosi
